    I understand that if I am successful in completing this course I will be able to:

    • Design and Install Grid Connected Solar systems that include PV solar modules, batteries, inverter, , battery chargers and associated equipment.
    • Install the above systems up to the inverter with the connection from the inverter to the building switchboard being undertaken by a suitably trained person.

    It is a requirement that all applications have:

    • some knowledge of safe work practices.
    • Minimum Senior Secondary School maths skills for solving standard problems.
    • Minimum Senior Secondary School English and reading skills.

The goal of this training is to create a fundamental understanding of the core concepts necessary to work with all PV systems, including: system components, site analysis, PV module criteria, mounting solutions, safety, and commissioning. The course will also cover the basics of wire sizing, overcurrent protection, and grounding.
